The King Kong Rhino Project is an evolving intervention that recontextualizes the relationship between the artwork, the site, and the public. It is a nomadic monument that has left its trace across Venice, Shanghai, Taipei, and other cultural landscapes.
By inserting these metallic titans into varied architectural contexts—from historic stone to modern glass—Shih disrupts the visual routine of the city. The rhinoceros acts as a catalyst for public memory, a silent witness through which the city observes its own reflection and considers its shared destiny.
