Rhino in Nature, Circle of Life

The glistening gold of fallen leaves on the ground evokes the cyclical nature of human life, perpetually renewing itself. Amidst this leafy terrain, one can behold a collection of lifelike rhinoceros sculptures that seem to draw the viewer into their natural world. Through this display, the artist seeks to explore the question: "Has civilization pushed us to the brink of extinction?" The hope is to provoke contemplation about the relationships between life and death, humans and nature, tradition, and modernity, the East and the West, and ultimately, to express a deep concern for the fate of humanity. The installation aims to evoke empathy in the audience and stir their souls. This artwork was invited to be showcased at the 2017 Venice Biennale.
